CJI is here and I'm going to be covering it in real time. You can watch with me and check out the stats as I do them in real time. Of course a few days after the event I'll give you the full stats, but for now hopefully this will tide you over.
I've redone some of the stats for this event, so I'll explain some things that might not be clear. The results chart will just show how many arm submissions, chokes, decisions, etc. The submission chart shows the number of failed submissions in black and completed submissions in red.
Finally the most important, but perhaps confusing chart is the action chart. These are stats for 5 min intervals, which for CJI directly translates to the rounds. You can see the action scores and watchablity scores for each division down below. Also I'll be keeping track of the individual athlete action and watchability rating and updating you with the leader in those categories in real time. Let's enjoy the event and see if it lives up to the hype.

Technique score - The subs, takedowns, sweeps and passes per 5 min added together. This is basically how many techniques you are actually completing in a 5 minute period of time.
Attempts score - The subs, takedowns, sweeps and passes att per 5 min added together. This is basically how many times you tried to do a technique and failed in a 5 minute period of time.
Good Technique Ratio - This is the the technique score divided by the sum or the attempts and technique score. This ratio shows how often people are actually hitting techniques vs failing. The closer to 1 the ratio is, the better.
Action score - I've changed this score a bit since I first introduced it last year. This is now the technique score, attempts score and the number of positions in a 5 min period added together. This tells you how much actual grappling you are going to see per 5 min.
Watchability score - This is a brand new stat that should tell how good a match is. This is similar to the action score, but submissions and good technique will increase this number. This shouldn't be thought of in terms of 5 min intervals, but more in relation to other events or grapplers. You can use this to tell if a match is worth spending you time watching.
