What We Learned From WNO 26

WNO 26 ended and we just got finished the first big pro show of 2025. It has taken a while for things to get started this year, but I'm not mad at this start. This was a good event and I was happy to see they made some changes this year. Now they are able to to DQ and double DQ people for stalling, which I think it great. We don't want to see anymore matches like Pedro Marinho vs Izaak Mitchell. Enough about that though. Let's get to the results.

How People Won

At WNO 26 we got half of the matches ending in submission and that is always good. There were 2 chokes and armlocks each as well as 1 leglock. The rest of the matches ended in decisions.

Stats

Overall

This was a really good event despite not having the biggest names on it. The people involved went all out and made the event good. Not every match was great, but at least they were all watchable. The Roberto Jiminez flying armbar is already in the running for submission of the year and this was the first event. I like the rule changes and it did seem to improve the action at least for this event. They also announced the next event for April, which will be headlined by Nicky Rod vs Kaynan Duarte. I'm looking forward to that and I hope there are some other good matches on there as well.

Sorry this article was a bit short due to the Polaris event the next day. I'll also be doing the first year to date stats for 2025 then.
