At the first day of ADCC 2026 we got a lot of upsets and things didn't go the way most people thought. There were quite a few bracket busters and things seem pretty wide open now. I'll post the brackets down below, so you can see the current standings and match ups. Below that I'll be resuming the play by play when the event starts, so stay tuned.

Play-By-Play
The athletes are walking in and things should be getting started soon. We are starting with the men and women's heavy weights.
Starting off with Mark McQueen vs Victor Hugo. Hugo pulls guard and works RDLR and then in X-guard. He moves into the saddle and tries and inside heelhook, but can't get it. Mark comes back on top and starts pressuring into the kneesheild. Hugo goes from halfguard to X-guard and then into a kneebar for the quick finish. Victor Hugo wins via kneebar.
We're coming in on Elizabeth Mitrovic vs Helena Crevar. Crevar working from guard and gets a close ankle lock and Liz almost taps, but Liz escapes and Helena comes on top. Helena drops back on an outside heelhook and Liz grits her teeth, but escapes. Helena gets on an ankle and locks in an Aoki lock. Liz trying to hold on, but Helena puts some heat on it and gets the tap. Helena Crevar wins via Aoki lock.
Coming up we have Luke Griffith vs Achilles Rocha. Luke hits a quick armdrag, but Rocha scramble back up to his feet. He continues and tries to hit a lat drop on Luke, but pulls mount instead. He scrambles again and ends up on top of Luke in closed guard. Luke slows down the match and Rocha tries to stand and break the guard, but Luke isn't having it. Luke opens the guard and Luke goes to an inverted armbar and then a triangle. Rocha picks him up and slams him hard, but Luke complains that the sub wasn't locked so the slam was illegal. They are going to the judges. Rocha ends up getting a penalty and the match is restarted standing. Luke sits to gguard and entters X-guard. Luke goes for an inverted heelhook and then a kneebar. It looks tight, but Rocha doesn't tap. Rocha escapes and ends up back in Luke's closed guard. Luke goes to the inverted armbar again and then switches to the omoplata, but Rocha scrambles out. Lukje goes back to the inverted armbar again, but can't finish. Rocha picks up the pace and starts blitzing and passes to mount, but can't secure it and Luke ends up on top. Luke quickly falls back though before top position is secured. Luke starts working a halfguard sweep, but can't finish. Rocha stands up and goes for a North south pass and Luke gets passed, but starts going crazy so he isn't scored on. Rocha is back on top and enters the truck position. From there he goes for a calfslicer, but Luke holds out and rolls to top, but Rocha scrambles back to top position and avoid the score. Rocha slices right through Luke's guard, but Luke escapes before he gets scored on. Luke locks up closed guard with 20 sec left. Time runs out. Luke Griffith wins 1-0.
Coming in on Sarah Galvao vs Joslyn Molina and Sarah is already past the guard. Molina is doing a good job staying on her side, but Galvao is grinding him and getting closer to the score. Molina turtles and Galvao takes her back. Molina stands and Galvao only has one hook in, but has a RNC over her face. Molina shrugs her off and they are back to standing. Galvao got 3 points in there and is up now. Molina gets Galvao down and is working on passing the guard. Galvao turtles and then reguards to get into X-guard. Molina escapes and starts working a north south pass. She switches to a double unders pass, but can't quite get it. Galvao back to guard and she works and ankle lock, but Molina easily defends. Time runs out. Sarah Galvao wins 3-0.
Next up is a rematch between Kaynan Duarte vs Daniel Schuardt. Dan dives in on a weird double leg/roll and Kayan jumps on his neck with a guillotine. Dan gets to half guard, but he still isn't out of trouble. Kaynan lets go and comes on top to work a kneeslice. Dan works DLR and Kayana tries a slow backstep that gets him in trouble and Dan almost sweeps him. Kayan holds on and stays on top and then moves into HQ position. Dan starts working his kneesheild and Kayan pressures in. Kayan is really pressuring in and Dan is doing a good job framing, but looks miserable. Kaynan backsteps and stays there deciding if he should go into the saddle or not. He falls back into the saddle and goes for the Texas cloverleaf, but can't get the tap. Kaynan abandons the position and starts to grind in through the halfguard and Dan is turing red. Kaynan backs out and tries some Ruotolo style outside passing to the othe side. He eventually gets it, but Dan turtles to avoid points. Dan tries a fatman roll, but he can't get it. Dan tries another turtle reversal by grabbing both of Kaynans legs. Kaynan just throws his arm around Dan's face and cranks away to get the tap. Kaynan Duarte wins via RNC/neck crank.
Next up we have PJ Barch vs Jacob Bornemann. PJ goes for a kneetap, but Jacob tries to uchimata. It doesn't work and PJ limp arms out and gets close to the back. Jacob tries to roll back to guard, but PJ gets to side control. There are no points yet though. PJ is in side control as points start and PJ grinds Jacobs neck with his forearm to make Jacob move. Jacob rolls and PJ tries to get a guillotine and there was a headbutt. They stop the action for a sec and then they go back to wrestling. Jacob almost gets and single, but misses and chases PJ, but can't get anywhere with it. Jacob goes for another double, but it isn't close. PJ hits a snapdown, but can't keep Jacob down. Jacob gets a good double leg and almost gets PJ down and PJ reverses and almost gets on top, but they go out of bounds. Jacob with another double, but he is too far out. Jacob goes for a single, but PJ starts reversing and gets on top of turtle. PJ goes for a darce and Jacob escapes. Jacob goes for another single and can't get it. PJ hits a snap down and gets on the back. He inserts the 2nd hook and time runs out before he can score. OT starts. Jacob goes for another single, but runs out of energy and PJ gets on top with Jacob in turtle. PJ inserts a hook. He starts cranking a RNC and then inserts the 2nd hook. Jacob escape the RNC and the the back, but is stuck in turtle again. PJ is up 3-0 and almost on the back again. PJ up 6-0 now. Jacob gets the hooks out and tries to scramble, but he seems too tired. PJ on the back again with 1 min left. PJ goes to a wrist ride and then a kimura for side control. Jacob move to get out and avoids the sub. Jacob rolls back to turtle, but he can't get out and time runs out. PJ Barch wins 9-0.
Jasmine Rocha vs Ana Mayordomo up now. Ana on bottom and Rocha is agreevie with here passing and Ana inverts into a kneebar. Rocha defends and goes into outside ashi. Ana with an outside heelhook to aoki lock to ankle lock. Rocha stays calm and escapes. Rocha tries an ankle lock of her own, but Ana counters with a deep ankle lock. Rocha escapes and passes the guard. Rocha in side control, but there are no points yet. Ana gets halfguard back. Rocha goes for the pass and Ana reverses her and attacks and ankle lock. It looks tight, but she can't get the tap. Ana uses this to come on top, but points haven't started yet. Ana sits to her but right before points start. Rocha comes up and starts blitzing passes. This makes Ana turtle and Rocha goes for an armbar from the turtle. Ana rolls, but it doesn't help. Jasmine Rocha wins with an armbar.
We are coming into Deigo "Pato" Oliveria vs Kennedy Maciel towards the end of regulation. They are in double pull and both cranking ankle locks. Pato goes for a bolo and is starting to sneak towards the back. Kennedy slides out and they go back to double guard. Pato goes for a bolo again, but can't get started and time runs out. OT starts and they are handfighting. Kennedy goes for a single and Pato catches the front headlock and then wraps up a cradle. Kennedy rolls and gets back to his feet. Kennedy immiately shoot and hits and iranian lift and gets on top of Pato. Kennedy is close to the back, but can't get his hooks in. Pato hits a quick spin and escapes to his feet. They go back to wrestling and Kennedy goes for a double leg and gets it, but Pato scrambles. Pato turtles and Kennedy is trying to insert his hooks as time runs out. Kennedy Maciel wins via decision.
The first bronze medal match is Elizabeth Mitrovic vs Paige Ivette Clymer. Liz sits to guard and Paige works some smash passing. Liz inverts and almost sweeps, but Paige comes back on top and starts camping from north south. The pressure gets to be too much and Paige gets the pass. Paige goes for the armbar and Liz spins out, but Paige applies it again and gets the tap. Paige Ivetter Clymer wins with an armbar.
Daniel Schuardt vs Achilles Rocha. Dan sit and and starts working halfguyard. Rocha start to work a kimura and uses it to pass. Rocha still has the grip, but Dan reguards and Rocha works a reverse halfguard pass. Rocha goes for a toehold, but can't get it and that allows Dan to get to the fish net position. Dan switches to a kneebar, but Rocha slips out. Rocha goes for a toehold now and Dan looks to isolate a leg. Dan gets to an outside heelhook, but Rocha spins out. Dan still has the leg and switches to 50/50. Dan rotates into a kneebar and Rocha defends, but Dan goes for it again and it is closer now. Rocha tries to turn it into a bolo, but Dan sees it coming. Dan gets into to saddle and grabs the toes. Dan bridges into it hard and pops Rocha. Daniel Shuardt wins via lateral kneebar.
Now we have Jozef Chen vs Gabriel Brod for bronze. They start out handfighting on the feet and for about 2 min nothing happens. Chen tries a little armdrag, but it goes nowhere. Chen tries a snap down, but can't get anywhere. They are starting to pick things up a bit, but not much it happening. Brod goes for a footsweep that is close and then Chen tries an armdrag, but doesn't get it. Brod hits a double leg and gets Chen down, but Chen scambles and comes on top. Brod puts him in 50/50 and tried to stand up, but Chen shrugs it off and tries to take the back. Brod keeps rolling and Chen ends up on to after a crazy scamble. Chen is on top and hits a tripod pass directly into an arm triangle. Chen is up 5-0 now as Brod turtles. Chen is looking to take the back and Brod is rolling like crazy to get out. Brod gets back to guard and Chen sets up another tripod pass and passes to knee on belly again and then moves to mount. Chen is up 10-0 now and Brod kips out only to get smashed again as Chen mounts him. Time runs out. Chen win 13-0.
Helena Crevar vs Anabel Lopez is for the gold at women's +65kgs. They start out hand fighting and neither can pull guard since it is the finals. Helena gets a bodylock, but Lopez ends up throwing her down. Helena sweeps her with a lumberjack sweep. Helena grabs a leg and goes for an ankle lock it looks tight, but she can't get the tap. She comes on top and Lopez goes for her own ankle lock and it looks tight as well and Helena has to stop and defend. Helena manages to counter and Lopez turtles. Helena gets a hook in and Lopez tries to use her turtle to defend, but Helena brings the hook all the way across the body and turns it into a body triangle. No points yet, but Helena is in great position. Helena can't get under the chin, so she cranks the face and that opens up the neck, so she sink in the choke. Helena Crevar wins via RNC.
Josh Sunders vs Victor Hugo up next. They come out hand fighting hard. Hugo goes for a footsweep and then tries to run Josh down, but can't get it. More handfighting and it looks like both a just waiting for the points period. Hugo goes for a kosoto gari, but can't get it. Hugo is leaning on Josh's neck and trying to cover his mouth from standing. Hugo shoots for a weak double, but Josh defends. The ref warns them and Josh goes for a kneetap, but it looks like Hugo just falls over and starts playing guard. Hugo goes for an armdrag and tries to get it, but Josh defends and they are back on the feet. It seems the judges called it a guard pull and Hugo loses a point. They restart andJosh throw Hugo with an uchimata and Hugo comes up and then sits down quickly. Points haven't started yet, but Josh is up 1-0 due to the penalty. Victor works his guard and isolates the shoulder and works into a rear triangle. Hugo flips him over and finishes the rear triangle for the win. Victor Hugo wins with a rear triangle.
Here we go with a rematch. Sarah Galvao vs Ana Carolina Viera. They start handfighting and Galvao is pushing forward hard. After a few min Ana runs at a leg, but doesn't get close. There has been a lot of nothing going on. Sarah goes hard on a double, but Ana just barely defends and they are clinched up. Ana picks up a single leg and puts Sarah down for half a second, but then she pops right back up and gets away. Galvao shoots from far away and comes up with nothing. Sarah goes Uchimata and thinks ahout a victory roll and then Ana comes in for a bodylock throw and gets hits with a big haraigoshi. Ana turtles and Sarah goes to an armbar. It is close, but Ana guts it out and escapes. Ana is on top now and starts working a double under pass. Sarah defends and Ana goes back to passing. Sarah starts working her closed guard, but Ana is shutting her down. Sarah is holder her off, but can't really get her game going. They are in a bit of a stalemate right now. Ana starts working some outside passing, but it isn't really phasing Galvao. Galvao gets more aggressive and she starts inverting for legs and trying to wrestle ups, but Ana shuts her down. Ana gets a deep double underhook pass and stacks Sarah up. Ana rolls her over, but Sarah just rolls back to guard. Time is about to run out in regulation and neither lady looks particularly tired. OT starts and they are back standing. Sarah goes for a double, but can't get it. Ana gives her one back with the same result. Sarah shoot 2 more doubles, but neither work. Ana gives her one back, but it isn't close. Ana pushes forward, but doesn't really go for anything. Ana goes for a single, but doesn't come close. Sarah seems to have slowed down a bit. Sarah shoots, but it isn't close. Ana goes for a single and Sarah goes for an armdrag and neither is close to being effective. Sarah shoots for a takedown and poke Ana in the eye again, which I think is the 3rd time. They both shoot and can't get close to finishing a takedown. The OT has been a whole lot of nothing with nothing to really help either woman secure the win. Time runs out. They are going to another OT for some reason and I'm dreading this and the audience agrees as they start booing. They hand fight for a few sec and Sarah hits a blast double, but Ana gets a guillotine and turns it into a front headlock. Sarah rolls to guard and Ana tries a kneecut and Galvao gets her arm stuck in a weird position. Sarah rolls and Ana takes her back and chokes her. Ana Carolina Viera wins with a RNC.
Kaynan Duarte vs Luke Griffith for gold at -99kgs. Kayana quickly shoots a blast double and takes Luke down. Kayan opens up the closed guard and Luke tries a false reap. Kaynan pressures into him and looks to break open the position. Luke gets into the saddle, but Kaynan steps out of it. Luke works DLR and Kaynan tries to enter HQ. Kaynan goes to HQ and slides over Luke's guard into mount. Luke pushes and escapes, but Kaynan goes for a guillotine. Luke pops his head out and is on top now. Kaynan gets up and they start handfighting again. The pace seems really high for men this big, so let's see who has the better cardio. Luke goes for a single leg, but it isn't close. Kaynan hits an armdrag and is on top again. Kaynan goes to HQ position again and then gets into a bodylock. Luke gets out, but Kaynan just goes back to working a halfguard pass. Luke is defending, but is having problems getting offense going. Kaynan gets deep on another pass and Luke has to use a lot of energy to push him off. Points start and Luke is trying to get something going from bottom halfguard. Kaynan stands, dives back in a slices right through Luke's guard to mount. Luke lies on his side, so points aren't scored and then get recovers. Kaynan just does it again like Luke doesn't even have a guard. Luke stands from mount and Kaynan hits him with an uchimata, but there still haven't scored points. Luke is turtled and Kaynan is looking to insert his hooks.Luke stands up and Kaynan drags him down. Kaynan tries to jump on the back, but can't get it as Luke is too tall. They go back to standing and Kaynan shoots and Luke sprawls, swings around to the back and then locks in the RNC. The last female match is Jasmine Rocha vs Ana Rodriguez. So far just a lot of handfighting. Jasmine shoots for a double, but it isn't close. Ana shrugs Rocha off and knocks her to the floor. Rocha shoots again , but to no effect. Rocha almost hits an armdrag and they go out of bounds. Rocha gets to a single, but Ana sprawls on her as points start. Ana catches her in a front headlock, but Rocha escapes. Ana goes for a kosoto gari, but can't get it. Rocha tries a slide by and Ana tries to comeback with a single, but neither are effective. Rocha goes for a single leg and Ana catches her in a front headlock, but Rocha escapes. They clicnh up and Rocha tries to move to the back and Ana rolls though for a kneebar and ends up on top. They scramble and Ana ends up on top with a front headlock. Rocha stands back up after a while and they handfight again. Rocha shoots and gets stuffed again. Rocha goes for a throw by and tries to jump on the back. She falls off and goes for an armbar and then tries to scramble up. Ana ends up in the front headlock position again, but Ana gets a penalty, so no OT if Ana doesn't get to work soon. Rocha goes for a single out of the front headlock and gets it. Ana counters with a guillotine. Rocha pops her head out, but they didn't give her points for some reason. Regardless, Ana gets another penalty, so Rocha is up 2-0. Ana goes K-guard and enters 50/50. Ana tries to wrestle up, but Rocha spins to her back and gets to a body triangle. Rocha goes for a muffler and then a RNC. Jasmine Rocha wins via RNC.
Now we have Marlon Tajik vs Pawel Jaworski for the 88kgs title. They start with handfighting and Pawel tries and armdrag. Marlon hits a throw by, but backs up and forces Pawel to stand back up. Pawel almost hits an armdrag, but can't quite get it. Pawel goes for an armdrag again. Marlon hits a snap, but doesn't stay on it. Pawel shooting, but he isn't getting close. The ref is warning them, but they are actually doing something. The problem is the rules. Marlon doesn't want to take Pawel down yet and Pawel is pretending to defend. Pawel goes for a single and then goes into a false reap. Marlon defends. Marlon stand to pass and Pawel goes into a false reap and gets into the saddle. Marlon defends and Pawel moves to 50/50. Marlon rolls and escapes the position. Pawel tries and armdrag from guard, but he can't get it. The point period starts. Pawel inverts for a leg and almost hits a kneebar, but Marlon escapes. Pawel goes to K-guard and then tries to wrestle up. Marlon tries a toehold and they both disengage. Marlon gets a penalty somewhere, but I don't think anyone notied. Marlon blitzes the guard and is getting close to the pass, but Pawel uses his flexability. Marlon rolls him over and almost takes the back, but Pawel escapes. Marlon tries jumping over the guard, but it isn't close. Marlon is moving better now and is trying to pass more, but Pawel is showing great retention. The momentum is shifting, but Pawel is still ahead 1-0. Marlon moves into halfguard and tries to smash through as he flattens Pawel. Pawel escapes, but ends up in the same position again. Marlon slices through and tries a north south pass, but Pawel shows good defense. Marlon almost passes, but Pawel inserts his foot using his flexibility as time runs out. Pawel Jaworski wins 1-0.
Next up we have Magdomed Dzharbaev vs PJ Barch for 77kgs, PJ starts working some footsweeps and handfighting. Mag goes for a heavy snap down, but can't do anything with it. PJ seems to be being coached by Dima and Greg Souders. So far no much is happening, but they are a bit more active than some of the other matches. PJ goes for a slide by, but can't capitalize. There has been minutes of just handfighting and they seem to be waiting for the points period. Mag looks a bit more tired, but they are both starting to look a bit worn down. The points period starts and they look more focused. Mag tries a kosotogari, but can't get it. Mag goes for an armdrag, but can't get it either. Mag goes for another armdrag and then a snapdown, but can't finish. Mag is pushing forward hard and mixing up footsweeps, armdrags and snaps. PJ gets double unders and they go out of bounds, but they don't resets them clinched up. They go back to handfighting and there are no points yet. Mag is being more active, but nothing is really happening. Mag goes for an armdrag and PJ almost counters with a double leg, but can't get it. 5min left and neither man has done enough to really win, but Mag is slightly more active. Mag hits a snapdown and goes to a frontheadlock, but can't get PJ down. PJ shoots for a single, but Mag defends and they go back to standing. Mag answers with a single of his own, but PJ slips his leg out. Mag snaps into a front headlock and tries and ankle pick, but can't get it. 1 min left and it is still 0-0. We go to OT. The handfighting is continuing, but there still isn't much happening. PJ tries a single, but Mag avoids it. PJ goes for another single, but it isn't close. PJ goes for a leg and Mag tries to return and shoves PJ into a camera man. Mag snaps, but does nothing with it. Mag shoots, but can't get anything. 4 min left and it is still 0-0. Mag tries another armdrag, but gets nothing. Mag hits a double leg, but scrambles to turtle, so Mag doesn't get points. PJ rolls to guard and tries to enter 50/50. PJ is working his guard, but has less than 1 min left. PJ tries to wrestle up, but Mag doesn't let him. PJ stands back up, but is running out of time. There is still no score. They go to another OT. They go back to the handfighting and neither is doing much. PJ tries a single, but he is too tired. PJ shoots a double, but there is nothing on it. PJ gets a penalty and Mag hits and armdrag to the back, but PJ escapes before he is taken down. It seems they removed the penalty now. Mag snapes PJ to a fronthead lock and launches PJ out of bounds with a beautiful thrown, but he has no control so PJ just stands up afterwards. Mag almost gets another single leg, but can't finish and then goes for it again and gets close. They are back to handfighting with 3 min left. PJ shoots, but doesn't have enough gas in the tank. PJ trying to pick things up, but it is a bit too little too late. Mag gets a single as time runs out and they are going to decision. Magdomed Dzharbaev wins via decision.
Kennedy Maciel vs Gavin Cobre for the -66kg title is up now. Corbe goes to a russian tie and the hits an uchimata. Corbre then drops back to and ankle lock. Kennedy escapes, but Corbe still hold on to the leg and now they are in double guard. Kennedy locks up and ankle lock and Corbe is just ignoring it. Corbe inverts and gets his leg out and starts attacking his own ankle lock. Corbe is trying to pull Kennedy into a leglock and almost catches and inside heelhook. Kennedy comes on top and tried to stack Corbe, but gets his leg caught and Gavin goes for another ankle lock. Kennedy is trying to dismantle the entanglement, but isn't getting much of his own offense going. Corbe comes on top and Kennedy starts working halfguard, but Corbe drops back on a leg again. Corbe moves into 50/50. Corbe goes for an ankle lock and Kennedy tries to counter with an inside heelhook, but can't get it. Points start and they are stuck in this 50/50 leg battle. Kennedy is getting tied up and is stuck deep in the 50/50 now. They are stuck in the position and Corbe is looking to catch the heel, but can't get it. Kennedy is trying to escape the 50/50, but Corbe is really keeping him stuck in there as he tries to catch the heel. Kennedy gets out and then stands to pass and then dives on a kimura trap and throws Corbe over. Kennedy tries to extend the arm for an armbar now, but the legs are in the wrong position. Corbe escapes and Kennedy stands. Kennedy goes for a quick torreando, but can't finish. Kenndy goes hard after a double under, but can't finish. Kennedy with a nice scoop grip pass, but Corbe defends. Kennedy blitzs the guard and forces Corbe to turtle. Kennedy tries to get an armbar, but can't get it and ends up on bottom. They scramble a bit more and time runs out. They go to OT now and they start handfighting. Kennedy shoots and Corbe sprawls and works around towards the back. Kennedy tries to roll Corbe, but it doesn't work and Kennedy ends up playing guard. Kennedy locks up a kimura and almost gets it, but also is close to getting his guard passed. Corbe almost mounts Kennedy and starts working towards the back. Corbe is on the back, but is misaligned, so he doesn't get points. Kennedy spins him and winds up in closed guard. Kennedy stands and Corbe enters K-guard and tries a matrix backtake, but can't get it. Kennedy escaspes and goes for a pass, but gets put in 50/50. Kennedy tries to spin out and Corbe almost takes his back. Corbe ends up on top and Kennedy immdiately sweeps back, but Corbe grabs a single leg. Kennedy gets a kimura grip and turns it into an armbar. It looks good and threads hi leg through into and triangle and then hits an americana from the triangle. Kennedy Maciel wins by triangle armbar.
Absolute division
The absolute division starts with Eoghan O'Flannagan vs Eli Braz. Things start off with some handfighting and it is slow going so far. Eoghan hits a superduck and jumps on the back. Eoghan wraps the RNC over the jaw, but can't get it. Eli stays standing and shakes Eoghan off. Eli goes for a single leg, but Eoghan gets away. Right before points Eoghan sits to guard. Eli tries to run around, but Eoghan defends. Eli pressures in, but Eoghan gets to closed guard. Eoghan comes up and trieds to jump on a guillotine, but Eli shoves him off. Now Eli circles and tries to pressure through the guard, but Eoghan holds him off. Eli tries some north south passing and it looks pretty good, but Eoghan gets in on the legs. Eli gets out and almost jumps over the guard. Eli passes to north south and time runs out. They go to OT. Eli shoots, but can't get the double leg. More handfighting and neither man can get much going. Eoghan shoots and falls, but he gets up before Eli can keep him down. There are still 0-0 with 2 min left. Eli goes for a single, but can't get it. Eli hits a double and Eoghan tries to scramble but ends up in guard. They call it a takedown and Eoghan is down by 2 with less than 30 sec left. Eoghan hits a duck under from the guard and ties things up so it is 2-2 going to the judges. Eoghan O'Flannagan wins via decision.
Chris Wojcik vs Ruslan Abdulaev up now and Chris is on bottom playing guard. Ruslan pressures in, but keeps his legs back. Ruslan is continuing with his strategy and Wojcik doesn't seem to be able to get anything going. The ref warns them to work as points start. The ref warns Ruslan again. Ruslan tries to run around and forces Wojcik to turtle. Ruslan is breaking Wojcik down, but Wojcik gets back to guard and tries to wrestle up. Wojcik tried to wrestle up and almost hits and iranian lift, but Ruslan gets out. Ruslan throws the legs by and tries to pass, but Wojcik turtles and the score is 0-0 as time runs out. OT starts and they are standing. Chris immediately shoots a low single and Ruslan runs off. Ruslan goes for his own low single and Wojcik escapes. Wojcik goes for another low single and Ruslan moves to extract his leg and Wojcik turtles. Ruslan jumps on an arm out of nowhere. Ruslan Adbulaev wins via armbar.
Eoghan O'flannagan vs Felipe Pena starts now. They handfight for a bit then Eoghan hits a uchimata and switchs to the saddle halfway through. Pena looks to pull his leg out, but Eoghan holds on to the foot. Eoghan tries to come on top and Pena kick him in the chest. They both stand back up. Eoghan sits to guard before points start. Pena starts north south passing and almost gets it, but Eoghan keeps a knee inside. Eoghan goes for the seated duck under again, but can't get it and Pena looks to pass and is getting close. Eoghan is trying to spin for a triangle and then Eoghan starts inverting and trying to enter the legs. Pena works the north south passing again and gets the pass now. After being pinned for a while Eoghan wiggles out and gets back to the feet. Eoghan shoots and tries to score, but time runs out. Felipe Pena wins 3-0.
We're back with Ruslan Abdulaev vs Felipe Pena. Pena sits straight to guard and Ruslan pressures into the halfguard just like before. Both are just kind of sitting here for the first 2 min. Ruslan now tries to run arounds quickly and almost gets around and Pena start inverting and grabs a leg. Pena is trying to enter the bear trap and Ruslan sits to try to free his leg. Ruslan gets back to his feet and pressures in again. Points start and Pena starts inverting and trying to catch a leg. Ruslan parks himself back in halfguard and after a while Pena inverts into 50/50. Pena tries to wrestle up and Ruslan pushes him off. Pena tries to kick Ruslan off and wrestle up but Ruslan doesn't budge. Ruslan almost runs around to side control, but Pena recovers. Pena tries to get something goin, but Ruslan shuts everything down. Time runs out and they stand up for OT. Ruslan shoots and gets Pena down, but Pena scrambles away and Ruslan goes to for a double that gets spraled on. They get back up and handfight. Out of nowhere Pena goes for a double leg and takes down Ruslan for 2. He then passes guard, moves to mount and finishes with a smoother. Felipe Pena wins via smoother choke.
For the 3rd place match we have Marlon Tajik vs Ruslan Abdulaev. Marlon sits to guard and Ruslan comes on top. Marlon tries an armdrag, but it doesn't work. Marlon almost sweeps with a hooksweep. Marlon tries to throw the leg over for a choi bar, but can't get it. He almost gets it this time and forces Ruslan to roll and hitchhiker escape. Ruslan hits a smash pass and Marlon breifly tries a buggy choke. It doesn't work and Ruslan tries to smash him from side control, but Marlon reguards. Marlon tries to invert, but can't quite get it. Marlon works a butterfly guard and seems to be waiting for points to start. Marlon goes for a sweep, but Ruslan scrambles away. Ruslan starts trying to torreando, but Marlon stops it. The 2nd time he can't though. Ruslan scores a guard pass. Marlon goes for a buggy choke, but is isn't close. Marlon reguards Ruslan jumps right past the guard for another 3 points. Another reguard and Marlon works butterfly guard again, but Ruslan is ready. Marlon goes to closed guard with 1 min left. Marlon kicks him off and stands. He shoot, but it isn't close. Ruslan Abdulaev wins 6-0.
Next up is the super fight Kaynan Duarte vs Yuri Simoes. Thhe matches starts with some handfighting. They are still handgithing and not really getting anywhere. Kaynan hit s a hard snap that almost knocks Yuri off his feet. More handfighting with no real moves so far. Yuri looks like he's getting angry and shoots single that is stuffed. Kaynan shoots a double, but can't get it. Points start a Yuri goes for a single leg and Kaynan counters with a guillotine and Yuri has to let go. The crowd boos the lack of activity. Yuri shoots, but doesn't hit anything. They are clinched up now and more boos come. Yuri shoots with about a min left, but can't get it. Yuri shoots again, but can't get anything. Kaynan shoot, but it doesn't come to anything. It goes to OT. Kaynan gets a penalty and has to try to get back the point. Uchimata by Kaynan and then a wrestle up by Yuri. They are restarted in the middle with Yuri having a rearbody lock.Kaynan hits a switch and busts his shoulder causing a stop to the match. Yuri Simoes wins via injury.
Finally we have Felipe Pena vs Roosevelt Sousa for the absolute title. They start with some hangfighting. Roosevelt goes for a leg, but can't pick it up. They are clinched up now and Sousa tries to throw Pena down. Sousa on a single leg and gets Pena down. Sousa tries to smash pass, but can't get through. Sous jumps around the guard and lands in a legdrag. He can't quite finish, but he is putting the heat on Pena. Things have slowed down now with Sousa just pressuring in, but not doing anything. Sousa starts to get a little more active, but not much, while Pena is just defending. Pena inverts to get to a leg and gets to 50/50. Sousa is looking for a heelhook, but Pena looks confident. Sousa goes for an ankle lock and Pena smells blood. Sousa goes belly down and Pena's leg slips out. Pena takes the back and chokes Sousa. Felipe Pena wins with a RNC.
