The pre-show is getting started with Jake Watson, Xande and Kendal Reusing. Its weird seeing Xande in a suit. They're interviewing JT Torres now. I like this idea and I hope they interview the coaches like this in the pre-game again in the future. They're really hyping the Ffion Rocha match after that press conference.
It looks like WNO 20 will be called night of champions and it will be in Oct. I'm hoping it will be another tournament like they had 2 years ago.

JB Bechtloff vs Achilles Rocha
First match starts and JB hits a slide by on Achilles Rocha, but on the ground Achilles reverses it to get on top.JB in deep half and he tries to climb towards the back, but Achilles stops him and JB goes back to guard with Achilles looking to pass half guard. Achilles drops back into a false reap, but can't get anything going. JB on top now and he drops back into 50/50/ JB looks like he has a heelhook, but Achilles beats him to the punch with a toehold. Achilles wins by toehold.
Helena Crevar vs Healy Dayan
Helena pulls guard and Dayan is running around from the outside. Helena grabs her and entangles her leg, locking for a toehold. She can't get it and Dayan tries an outside heelhook. Unfortunately for her this give Helena a chance for an inside heelhook which she takes and gets the tap. Helena Craver wins by inside heelhook.
Ben Eddy vs Carlos Henrique
Carlos gets a single leg takedown, but then sits down and Ben gets on top. Carlso hits a sweep and is now looking to pass from outside. Ben stands up. They are back to circling on the feet and Carlos goes for a bad takedown, but ends up getting it after a scramble. Ben is working some DLR, but Carlos pulls out and tries to put on some pressure from top.
Carlos is pressuring from half guard, but not really getting anywhere. The ref warns Carlos to do something as he isn't really attempting much except pressuring in. Carlos is now getting a bit more active, but he can't really get to any positions. Ben stands up.
Carlos has doubleunders, but seems uncomfortable and backs out. Carlos shoots again, but it wasn't a good shot and almost gets caught in a guillotine. Ben circles around and tries to take the back, but Carlos rolls and gets on top. Carlos goes back to the half guard passing.
Ed makes a bit of a mistake and pulls Carlos in instead of framing and gets his guard passed. Carlos is in side control and tries to move to mount. Ben catches his leg and they are back to half guard. Ben's kneesheild seems like it is getting weaker and Carlos is getting closer to a pass each time. Carlos isolates and arm from top half guard and tries to spin for an armbar, but can't get it. Carlos gets back on top and rushes in to mount, but Ben stops him at the last minute.
Carlos isn't doing much, but Ben hasn't really done anything and is just defending. Ben stands up. The commentators are telling Ben to pull closed guard, but he doesn't and eventually Carlos hits a nice slide-by and takes his down. Carlos is very close to passing from mount, but Ben stops him at the last mimute. Carlos now passing from the outside and passed Ben's guard. Ben gets his guard back, but Carlos is still moving and passes again. They are back on the feet with 10 seconds left and Carlos hits a nice Harai goshi at the bell. Carlos should get the win. Carlos wins.
Sebastian Rodriguez vs Oliver Taza
Up next is Sebastian Rodriguez vs Oliver Taza. Taza is a last min replacement. Taza is a bit smaller. They come out and Taza pulls into SLX and is looking to leglock. Sebastian tries to pullout and falls down. Taza comes on top. Sebastian wrestles up on a single and gets on top. Taza stands up and Sebastian sits to guard. Taza in HQ position looking to pass, but Sebastian off balances him and then slowly works to a single, but can't get him. Taza is now pressuring in to pass.
Taza goes after a leg, but Sebastian defends fairly easily. Taza back on top looking to pass from half guard. Eventually Sebastian stands up and double legs Taza, dumping him on the floor. Taza stands back up and Sebastian sits to guard. Sebastian hasn't gone for any subs yet, but he is much more active and is willing to play for everywhere. The judges are favoring Taza, which I can't understand, but it seems to have giving Taza confidence. Taza goes for a leglock and almost gets it, but Sebastian rolls out. Taza drips back again and tries and outside heelhook. but can't get it. Taza on bottom now.
Sebastian putting heavy pressure on Taza and almost get passed. Taza tries to stand and Sebastian tries to get to his back. Taza is trying to defend, but almost gets his back taken as he gets back to guard. Taza working half guard again. Sebastian puts the pressure on and Taza tries a guillotine from a bad position. Sebastian is almost past the guard and Sebastian almost takes the back, but Taza escapes and gets on top. The judges are favoring Sebastian now.
Taza tries to pass from the outside and then jumps on a leg and they go out of bounds when sebastian tries to get on top. Sebastian pulls guard, Taza falls for a leg lock, but it wasn't close. Sebastian is on top bodylock passing. Taza pushes him off, but Sebastian comes back in with pressure. Sebastian looks tired, but Taza looks frustrated. Sebastian goes for a double leg, but it is super slow and Taza stops him in his tracks. Sebastian pulls guard and Taza jumps on a leg. The inside heelhook isn't too bad, but Sebastian spins out and comes on top. The match ends and this will be a close one. Sebastian controlled the match, but Taza had more submission attempts. Oliver Taza wins the decision and starts dancing.
Andrew Tackett vs Troy Russell
Andrew Tackett vs Troy Russell is up next. This one should be really exciting. After some handfighting, Tackett goes for a single leg, moves up the body and gets a rear waistlock. They go to the ground and Tackett takes the back and is looking for the RNC. After some handfighting from the back Tackett chokes Troy over the jaw for the tap. Andrew Tackett wins by RNC.
Nicky Ryan vs Rene Sousa
Nicky sits to guard and Rene circles around. They both seem like they're feeling each other out. Rene drops back and reaps a leg, but then lets it go to come back on top. Nicky hits an arm drag and comes up on top. Nicky drops back on a leg lock and Rene almost hits a bolo on him. Nicky goes back to passing, jumps over from side control and has the back. Rene is trying to keep the 2nd hook from coming in and stands up. Nicky is still on his back and is using a powerhalf to break him down, but Rene looks strong. Nicky tries to sneak in an RNC, but Rene is wise to it.
Rene has stayed standing for a while now with Nicky on his back. Nicky is hanging on Rene and eventually breaks him down to the ground. The judges are favoring Nicky. Nicky has him on the ground now and is still on his back. Rene is doing a good job of protecting his neck though. Nicky tries an arm in RNC, but it isn't close. Rene rolls and tries to escape, but Nicky's control is too good. Nicky get the RNC over the jaw now, but Rene toughs it out and escapes. the RNC. Nicky is still on the back.
Nicky is keeping good control, but Rene seems to be stalmating him from here and isn't letting Nicky get a shot at that RNC. Nicky almost slips in an RNC, but Rene quickly slips it off. Only 5 min left and they are in the same position. Nicky should have to decision in the bag here, but I'm sure he wants that sub. He's so close, but can't quite get to the finish. Nicky gets his arm trapped for a second, but Rene gets the arm back. Nicky tries to choke over the jaw again, but Rene defends again. Nicky switches to the armtriangle guillotine, but Rene escapes and gets on top with 30 seconds left. Rene tries to pass, but can't get anything going and time runs out. Nicky wins by decision.
Felipe Pena vs Haisam Rida
Pena sits to guard and Rida works to pass from the outside. Pena eventually pulls Rida into his halfguard. Pena tries to wrestle up can't quite get the single, but Rida jumps to full guard. Pena tries to stay postured up, but Rida underhooks the leg and tries to invert into the saddle. Rida pulls him into 50/50, which might be a mistake as Pena is good from 50/50.
Rida tries to get something going from 50/50 and Pena removes his leg and runs out. Pena then sits to guard. Rida passing from the outside again and eventually comes in for a kneeslice. Rida backs out and the judges favor Pena. Pena tries a G-roll from half guard, but Rida escapes. Pena trying to work his half guard again, but he really can't get started with his attacks. Rida grabs Pena's arm from half guard and goes from a rolling Kimura. Pena escapes and the ref gives Rida a penalty for some reason. Pena wrestles up again on a single and completes the takedown.
Pena pressuring from top position. Pena smashing from top half guard and he passes to mount. Pena is isolating and arm and rolls to the back very smoothly. Pena hits the RNC from the back.
Dante Leon vs Ethan Crelinsten
Ethan quickly shoots for a takedown and gets it. Dante goes for an outside heelhook and Ethan defends allowing Dante to come on top. Ethan wrestles up on a single and gets it, but Dante counters by putting Ethan in the saddle. It hasn't even been a minute yet. Dante is on top now pressuring Ethan from half guard. Super action packed so far.
Ethan inverting and trying to get something going, but Dante stops him and pressures into halfguard. Ethan gets into dogfight and tries to wrestle up again, but Dante counters with an uchimata on the ground and then tries to lock up a darce. Ethan escapes and they go out of bounds. Dante putting big pressure on, but Ethan keeps moving and recovering. Ethan tries to invert, Dante smashes and Ethan grabs his leg, but can't keep the entanglement. Ethan gets to SLX and rolls out the back to try to wrestle up, but Dante escapes. The judges are favoring Dante.
Dante hits a arm drag to kouchi gari and ethan tries a 50/50 sweep. Dante stays on top. Ethan gets to outside ashi and tries to sweep, but Dante escapes and Dante starts to smash with an arm triangle. Ethan rolls to turtle, but Dante's grip is still in. The angle changes and Dante squeezes to get the rear nogi Ezekiel choke. Dante Leon wins by choke.
Ffion Davies vs Jasmine Rocha
Ffion gets a big pop and she walks out. Jasmine walks out to the MGM movie theme music. Rocha sits immediately. Ffion almost hits a kneecut off rip, but Roch defends. Ffion is coming after her with double under passing and knee slices. Rocha is recovering by the skin of her teeth. Ffion starts smashing from half guard, but Rocha recovers. Ffion goes to double unders and flip Rocha, but she recovers again. Rocha's guard recovery is looking good, but she can't get any offense going. Rocha gets to full guard, Ffion stands and Rocha tries to go to K-guard, but Ffion shuts it down. Ffion dives into a kneeslice, gets it and moves to mount. Ffion putting the pressure on from mount and isolates and arm.
Rocha get her arm back, but Ffion goes back to it and is looking to setup and arm triangle. Fffion doing some adjustments and Rocha is trying to move, but Ffion is smashing her. Ffion moves into the arm triangle, but Rocha toughs it out and survives. Ffion is back to mount. Ffion has both arms isolated now and is look for an armbar or the giftwrap. Rocha push off Ffions chest, but that give Ffion the armtriangle. Rocha toughs it out and puts Ffion back into quarter guard. Ffion passes right back to mount.
5 min left and it has been 1 way traffic for the last 5 min or so. Ffion tries to crank an americana , but can't get it. Rocha tries to roll and almost gets on top, but Ffion just pushes her back to mount. Rocha tries again and almost escapes, but Ffion takes her back. Rocha tries to remove the hooks, but she can't and Ffion RNCs her face. Rocha toughs it out and escapes. Ffion goes back to the armtriangle, but can't quite get it. Rocha rolls again and tries to get out, but just gets her back taken again. Ffion tries a thunderlock, but Rocha slips out. Less than a min left and Ffion is stuck to Rocha's back like a magnet. Ffion hits Rocha with a muffler to annoy her. Ffion goes for a rear triangle, but can't finish as time runs out. One sided decision win for Ffion.
Kaynan Duarte vs Nicholas Meregali
Kaynan Duarte vs Nicholas Meregali is up next. Meregali is 230 now. He's really bulked up. Kaynan starts off pulling Meregali's head hard and Meregali backs up out of bounds. Meregali doesn't seem to like those clubs. Kaynan goes for a double and then switch to a single. Kaynan drags him down. Meregali working DLR and then switches to RDLR for an off balance, but Kaynan recovers and then drops back on a leg. Meregali escapes the leg lock and is working from top. Kaynan wrestles up, but Meregali escapes. They are back to standing.
Meregali is going for some small foot sweeps and Kaynan looks to be looking to club and feint. Kaynan is favored by the judges, but the action has slowed a bit. Kaynan goes for a weak shot and Meregali shrugs it off. Kaynan is looking fresher, but isn't doing much. Meregali picks up a nice single leg and Kaynan goes for a guillotine causing Meregali to release the leg. Kaynan goes for a sweep that misses and Meregali goes for a single that is defended.
Meregali goes for another single and gets Kaynan to the floor, but Kaynan pops right back up. Meregali is walking forward the whole time, but he looks exhausted. Lots of handfighting. Meregalui tries 2 more single legs, but they don't work. Kaynan is a bit to passive here. Meregali picks up another single leg, but again can't complete it. Judges favor Meregali now. Kaynan might be having another mental block here. He seems fresher, but he isn't doing anything. Meregali gets to the rear bodylock and Kaynan rolls for a kneebar. Meregali is on top and is looking to smash Kaynan. Meregali passes Kaynan and is sitting in sidecontrol. Meregali mounts Kaynan. Meregali goes for an armtriangle and gets it. Meregali wins by armtriangle.
This turned out to be a great event and I think it lived up the the hype. Lots of subs and good action. The breakdown with stats will be coming soon, so stay tuned for that.
