Thoughts

Day 2 was better than day 1 and it was because of the stalling calls. On Day 1 people were getting stuck or just stalemating each other. On Day 2 the stalling calls reset people and just offered people a chance to go for it and get the sub.

The 1st round draft picks finally started to pull their weight. PJ Barch, Renato Canuto and Elijah Carlton all got subs. All 3 shows more urgency and it paid off for them as all of them were able to score today and just generally looked better than yesterday.

Jet Thomson, the 17 year old phenom, showed he isn't her just for some experience. He has been putting up numbers and showed he can hang with the other people here. He has a bright future ahead of him and has shown he has better finishing skills than many of the adults here.

Overall

It was a great event and even better than the first day. Brandon said they were going to get more aggressive with the stalling penalties and they did. That led to better matches and more action. If you look at the action stats you can see the clear difference. You can also see it in the amount of submissions. Day 2 was a significant improvement to the event and I'm hoping things will continue at this level for the next 3 days. We've gotten 2 flying armbars in 2 days, so you can't really ask for too much more.

I'll do the year to date stats at the end and compile all of the days together, so stay tuned for that. I can't wait until tomorrow.
