What We Learned From WNO 25

WNO is back with a good card. Luckily for grappling fans, there are a lot of good content coming soon and WNO is starting it off. The headliner featured the current ADCC absolute champ vs the current IBJJF absolute nogi champ. There were a lot of other good matches as well, so let's take a look at them. I should note, I'm going to be a bit breif here since there are so many events this week. Now lets look at the results.

How People Won

27.3% of the matches ended in subs. I'd like to see more finishes, but it could have been worse. I enjoyed the finishes we got.

Stats

Overall

This was a decent event. There were a few finishes and come cool sequences. I thought we'd get a bit more, but only 1 match was really bad. You can skip right over the Izaak/Pedro match as almost nothing happened the entire time. The Pena/Moody fight was my favorite followed by the Sathler/Khrysthyan match. I'd like to see both of them more in the future. There were some nice sequences and moves during this event, but I don't think this will be in the running for event of the year.

I'll be updating year to date stats soon, but I'm going to wait until all the matches this weekend are over. Stay tuned.
