FPI is back and it featured the match we've all been waiting for. The main event was Adele Fornarino vs Ffion Davies. I think we've all been waiting for this since ADCC and CJI last year. After some cancelations and re-bookings we finally got it. There were a number of other good matches on the card as well. Let's go through and see how things turned out.

How People Won
62.5% of the matches ended in submissions, which you can't complain about it. This show had some really amazing finishes and overall it was really fun. Most of the matches were good watches and we got to see some interesting and rare techniques. Chokes and armlocks were tied and 1 a peice and there was one leg submission. The other 3 were decisions(one of those was actually a draw). FPI switched to a 10pt must system, so I'm counting those as decisions.
Stats
Here are the stats from the event. I'm doing this quick, so I won't do a breakdown of it all. However you can see what happened through these stats.
Action
There was a good amount of action here, but really the watchability is what stood out. This had the highest watchability score of any event this year(so far). This was mostly due to the submissions. The action score was a bit lower due to some of the slower matches at the end of the card. For many of the matches it was almost nothing happening until a sudden burst of action that lead to a finish. I can't complain about this too much, but it is always a bit disappointing when the best matches are at the start of the card and then things start fizzling out. .
Overall
This was a great card to watch and I was actually really happy that the matches I thought might be bad turned out well. We got a lot of subs and the event was very watchable. I'm hoping they will run back Adele vs Ffion, but perhaps they'll save that for another event. I want to see a more definitive conclusion, however the match itself wasn't that great, so perhaps they'll want to wait a while before doing it. The other people on the card looked good and hopefully FPI will bring them back for future events and start to build their divisions. I'm looking forward to the next FPI and hopefully the next one is just as good as this one.
