What We Learned From Polaris 32 Women's Teams

Polaris is back with another teams event. Just like before they started things off with some games to determine who will get the first choice of matches. They did an American Ninja Warrior challenge and it was honestly a lot of fun. We also got some men's matches too. I always like the teams events, so I've been looking forward to this. Unfortunately it seems like every grappling event decided to do an event this week, so I don't have time to do a proper break down of this event, but I will give you the stats and results. Let's take a look at the results now.

Overall

This was a really fun event. I think the short match time really helped keep things moving a kept my interest the whole time. Just looking at the watchability it wasn't as good as it could have been and this is due to the lack of submissions. Despite that I think this was a good event. I think this might be the best team format as there are fewer/no draws. The whole time the match was close and you weren't sure who was going to win and I think that really added to the event. Hopefully this helps push women's grappling and perhaps let's people know more about some of the lesser known names in women's grappling. I think this event might have gotten lost of the shuffle with all the other events recently, but give it a watch when you have time.

I'll be releasing another article on AIGA very soon and in that I'll give you the year to date stats, so stay tuned for that.
