What We Learned From WNO 28

WNO is back with another event and this time we get a match between 2 champions. Mica Galvao is looking to grab a 2nd belt and Gracie is looking to defend his belt for this first time. We have some other matches as well from a variety of people. However there is more to an event than names. Let's look at the results and see how things turned out.

How People Won

I can't be mad at a 54.6% submission rate. Leglocks made up the majority of the finishes followed by chokes. Surprisingly there were no armlocks. Although the big matches didn't have subs, the rest of the card certainly pulled their weight and made this one fun to watch.

Stats

Overall

This was a pretty good event. There was a lot of action and this is one of the most watchable events so far this year. The main event was pretty good and a lot of the smaller matches were also good. I would have liked some bigger names, but I understand that sometimes you need to build up new people. I think this was a successful card and hopefully this will push Declan Moody and Paige Ivette to the next level, so they can get more matches. One thing I was really happy about is that none of the matches were terrible. All of them hard fun parts and something worth studying. Many of them were fun all the way through and there were lots of submissions. You can't ask for too much more than that.

I'm looking forward to the next WNO and I think they are going in the right direction. I just checked and Flo didn't spoil the event on the main page of their website. It looks like the new manager is making some positive changes already.
