AIGA is back and there is a big prize this time. There are a lot of good names here and I'm hoping we'll see some great matches over these 2 days. For those that aren't familiar AIGA is a team event that gathers some of the best grapplers around the world to compete. The rules are similar to ADCC, but with rounds and a slight wrestling focus. This is also one of the biggest prizes in grappling. There was a lot of grappling this week, so I'll be brief with the descriptions, but I'll try to give you the stats and results. First let's look at the teams.

We got a 53.3% finish rate here, which is nothing to sneeze at. Most of the finishes came from chokes followed by leg locks, which is the usual trend.
Stats
Overall
I think the biggest problem with this event was the promotion. When it started there was a lot of hype and I think many people were excited about it. However all of that died down about 6 months ago and I didn't hear about it after that. I almost missed this event because nobody talked about it. It was on Flo at first and then moved to youtube and the prize money was cut in half. It is a shame if they're having money problems because the event itself was really good and it was free on youtube. I hope we will get another event like this in the future as this really did live up to the hype.
