PGF Season 8 Week 4

Week 4 just ended and we got another round of great grappling. We are more than halfway through now and things are coming down to the wire for some of these athletes and teams. Who is going to make it to the playoffs and which team is going to win it all. There was a lot of action this week and some of the new people that entered last week have been able to climb the ladder, so they're shaking things up. Check out the stats and the current leaderboard at the bottom. 



How People Won


This week we got mostly finishes which is nice. Of course I'm not doing all the matches, so if you look at the whole event things might be different, but I feel like there were more subs in week 4. It seems like more people were aiming for the neck this week as time is running down and those will get you more points. We still got 2 leglocks though. With only about 38% of the matches ending in draws, I think things are looking good.

Overall

It seems like Team Dollamar and the Alabama Twisters have pulled away from the other 2 teams and now this is just a 2 man race. Christos Papadelos and Kris Olivo seem to have already locked in their spots for the playoffs but everyone else needs to really focus to make sure they don't get knocked out at the last week. 

The action and watchability scores this week were great and I feel like more people are getting used to the format. It always think it takes a while for people to adjust, but now people seem to be hitting on all cylinders. The stalling calls have also helped keep the action moving. I'm looking forward to next week and seeing how the standing change.
