UFC BJJ just had their 12th event and this one was an improvement over last as far as action and submissions go. We also had 2 title matches to determine new champions. There was some controversy at the end, but overall the matches were good. I was a bit shocked the lightweight belt was up for grabs, but since Lucas Valente vacated it to focus on MMA it makes sense and I think Renato Canuto and Ethan Crelenstein are both great contenders for it. There were also some good matches from up and comers that will set up future matches. If you haven't checked this event out, definitely give it a look.

How People Won
This time we got a 71.4% submission rate with most of the wins coming via leg lock. Even the leg locks were diverse with wins coming via inside and outside heelhooks as well as an ankle lock and a toe hold. People were really mixing things up. Surprisingly there were no chokes, but that happens sometimes.
Stats
Overall
I think this was one of the better UFC BJJ events and I was happy we got a lot of finishes. When the names aren't that great I think a card really needs action packed matches with finishes and this event had that. I was happy to see John Chandler, Rafa Ferreira and Thaynara Victoria again. I hope they continue building them up. I hope they match up Ethan Crelinstein vs Carlos Henrique as I think this could be a good match and help set up a number 1 contender match. I also think Adele and Cassia should run things back. I wouldn't mind seeing it again and hopefully with better strategies they can have a more exciting match. Hopefully they keep building up their roster and the next card has exciting finishes as well.
Year To Date
